Alexander Woollard originally studied Interior Design at the Inchbald School of Design in London. He is a designer & decorator who puts rooms together with uncontrived subtlety that give the impression the room has always looked that way. Combined with an effortless spontaneity which is supported by the architectural strengths and weaknesses of the property.
Alexander has a great eye for colour, texture, scale and detail, the very key elements of design. His taste is first and foremost English and European and creates rooms which are not contrived and look and remain fresh.
This innate sense of style, quality and design resonates throughout Alexander's interiors, showing English style at its best. Alexander's talent for design and classical proportions has also afforded him to create a bespoke furniture range, keeping to traditional hand crafted techniques constrained only by Georgian elegance and proportion.
The atmospheres Alexander creates overwhelm with the senses of colour, texture and mystery. Each space is tailored to the individual in the context of the architecture of the building, its setting and prevailing climate.
He can be simple or elaborate but always gives the same meticulous attention to detail while achieving the impression that his rooms have been created through casual evolution.
"Our reputation is gained through designing interiors sympathetically with the architecture of the building and bringing the effortless charm amd warmth that can only be the quintessential English look!"
